Jess Franco is no stranger to sleaze, and SADOMANIA may be his most glorious achievement in that category (directed under the alias "Robert Griffin"). Alluring young bride Tara (PLAYBOY model Ursula Fellner) arrives at a terrifying prison camp, led by the beautiful, but quite sadistic, warden Magda Urtado (transsexual adult star Ajita Wilson). In a whirling mix of lesbianism, white slavery (including a cameo by Franco), and violence, Franco creates one of his most controversial sexploitation flicks. Completely banned in the United Kingdom, and released only in tamer versions in the United States, this cult film cuts to the heart of the exploitation genre.
